Team NC is proud to once again offer a number of scholarship and funding opportunities for athletes who have qualified to represent Team NC this summer in national dual team and individual competition.

Scholarships are offered based on financial need, as well as academic success.  Wrestlers who  placed at  NCHSAA state tournaments, officiating spring Team NC  tournaments, or are representing Team NC on more than one trip can also earn scholarships towards the cost of their trip.

Scholarship applications and supporting documentation are due May 21st. Recipients will be notified of awards May 23rd.

In addition to these scholarships, there are also discounts for any wrestler who accomplishes the following: 

A) If a wrestler competes in and WINS BOTH the Tar Heel and NCUSA FS/GR State Championships, wrestler will earn FREE entry to SE Regionals.

B) If a wrestler places top 3 in their weight class at SE Regionals and has met criteria from A, they will earn a $150 voucher to go toward national team travels. Winners of SE Regionals will earn $200 vouchers! This only applies to the SE Regional and is limited one voucher per wrestler.

In addition to these scholarship and merit based awards, Team NC has an array of fundraising tools that are available to any athlete needing help with securing funding for their trips.
