Tar Heel Coaches Prep NC Wrestlers

The Oct. 25th Skills Academy/Tournament held in Mooresville will featured learning opportunities for the entire wrestling community!

Wrestlers were treated to another outstanding skills academy lead by the coaching staff from UNC-Chapel Hill, along with high school and youth coaches.

Following the skills academy, wrestlers participated in a folkstyle tournament.

Other special learning activities also took place on the 25th.

Officials from the Piedmont Association and other folkstyle officials from across the state will held an officials clinic, and will then officiated the tournament.

A Bronze coaches clinic was also  offered.

And finally, a pairings clinic teaching  the basics of trackwrestling and how to pair tournaments was conducted.

A huge thanks to the Race City Grapplers and the city of Mooresville Recreation Department for hosting skills academies this fall! Also thanks to Appalachian State, Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill, Gardner-Webb, and Davidson for volunteering to conduct these skills academies! Be sure to show your thanks to these North Carolina college programs by supporting their programs this season!
