All elements of the North Carolina wrestling community are invited to come together for one outstanding pre-season finale.

The Oct. 25th Skills Academy/Tournament to be held in Mooresville will feature learning opportunities for the entire wrestling community!

Wrestlers will be treated to another outstanding skills academy lead by top college coaches from North Carolina, along with high school and youth coaches.

Following the skills academy, wrestlers will participate in a folkstyle tournament. Wrestlers who wish to wrestle freestyle matches will also be allowed to do so. Registration for both the skills academy and the tournament is only $15 (USA membership is required).

Three other special learning activities will take place on the 25th.

First, Officials from the Piedmont Association and other folkstyle officials from across the state will hold an officials clinic, and will then officiate the tournament. Any officials interested in attending should contact Bob Mauldin.

Next, a Bronze coaches clinic will be offered. Any coach who wishes to earn Bronze certification may participate. You will need to RSVP for the Bronze Clinic (cost is $65)

Finally, there will be a pairings clinic for anyone interested in learning the basics of trackwrestling and how to pair tournaments. This session is open to parents, coaches, or anyone interested in learning this important part of the wrestling world!
