State College, PA- All eyes were on State College this weekend as Team USA came together to determine who would earn the right to represent the United States this fall in the 2024 Paris Olympics. 

The trials had everything! Stunning upsets, thrilling last second victories, and amazing redemption stories were just part of the ultimate tournament this weekend.

Both men's and women's freestyle saw a changing of the guard in several spots, including  86kg for the men where 4X NCAA champ Aaron Brooks shocked reigning Olympic Gold medalist David Taylor. On the women's side Kennedy Blades knocked off legend Adeline Gray to claim the 76kg spot in Paris. 

Other legends added to their stories, including Helen Maroulis and Kyle Snyder, who will both represent the Team USA at the Olympics for a historic third consecutive time.

North Carolina fans had plenty of athletes to cheer for, including homegrown talents Mike Machiavello, Terrence Zaleski, and Jamel Johnson, along with several other NC based athletes including Isaac Trumble and Trent Hidlay, who both notched impressive performances for the Wolfpack RTC.
