Team NC Women Shine In Spokane

Pardo's Turns In Stellar Double All-American Performance

There is no easy way to Spokane, but Team NC found a way to cross the country and return home with some hardware in tow. Thirteen North Carolina women ranging from 14U-Senior women competed, making it the largest group of NC women to compete in a women's nationals, which was also the largest ever, with over four hundred more competitors above last year's total.

Mia Pardo was Team NC's highest finishing wrestler, earning double All-American status in both 14u (4th place) and 16U (5th place). Tonya Flournory also finished with All-American honors, placing 7th in the U23 59kg category.

Team NC finished with an overall record of 19-32 across all age groups. Competing for North Carolina were:

Faith Bane , Anella Fabriziani , Kylie Brigman , Maggie Milbery , Kierra Rush, Iyanna Crawford , Hannah Carty , Mia Pardo , Bella Hoffman (competed and served as Assistant Coach), Hailie Misplay (competed and served as Assistant Coach), and Brooklyn Hermel (competed and served as Assistant Coach). 

The team was lead by Coach Alec Baynard, with World Team medalist Rashaad Saunders serving as assistant coach.
