Khalic Everett of Greenville WC and James Joplin of Gladiators WC earned top honors at today's Southeast Regional Championships, winning the Junior Heavyweight division  and the Cadet 113 weight class respectively.

In the Kids Folkstyle Event, Boedi Kirkland (Novce 82) of Darkhorse Wrestling Academy and Davis Freeze (Schoolboy 90) of Combat Athletics earned top honors, with five different youth wrestlers placing.

Womens Freestyle entries jumped from 45 in 2017 to 95 in 2018, with Kaylah Evans (Novice 85) of Darkhorse, Nikoly Dos Santos (Junior 112-117) of Charlotte, and Madison Fisher (Junior 132-138) from Rosman earned top honors, with a total of five North Carolina women competing.

Over thirty North Carolina wrestlers placed in Saturday's competition, with Freestyle still on tap for Sunday.
