Youth, High School, and College wrestlers from North Carolina scored major success at the Northeast Regional Championships this past weekend in East Stroudsburg, NJ. All total, twenty seven North Carolina wrestlers competed.

Aaron Bancroft of the Rocky Mount Wrestling Club earned his fifth overall regional title, winning the 138 Cadet Greco-Roman Title.

Wilson Smith won BOTH freestyle and Greco-Roman titles at Junior 138.

Overall, several other North Carolina wrestlers  placed top 4, including Andrew Jacobs, Jesus Reya, Cedrick Shepherd, John Massey, Tony Luck,  and Kendrick Watson.

NC State took 11 wrestlers to the event, with Redshirt-sophomore Malik McDonald earning top honors in the 97 kg freestyle competition. For more on NC States performance, including several of their top rated recruits, CLICK HERE.
