Over 1000 different wrestlers took part in NC Top 50 events this past season. Wrestlers competed from the Elementary and Junior High State Championships in February through the Beach Wrestling State Championships in June in every style of wrestling from Freestyle to Greco-Roman to Beach to Folkstyle. When the dust settled these are the young men who rose to the top and have earned the right to be counted among North Carolina’s TOP 50 for 2012-2013. Congratulations to the young men and to all the wrestlers who took part in this year’s Top 50 Challenge. These wrestlers will be formally recognized at this fall’s NCUSA Annual Meeting at NC State University in early September. In addition to the awards ceremony there will be a free clinic led by the NC State Coaching Staff.
