Zagreb, Croatia- A comeback for the ages!! Trent Hidlay (WolfpackRTC/USA)  was pushed to the brink against Amanula Gadzhimagomedov(UWW)  , falling behind 10-2 to start his gold medal match with just over four minutes left. 

But Hidlays relentless attacks withered Gadzhimagomedov in the closing minute, and he reeled off eleven unanswered points to close out one of the most impressive comebacks in World Championship history. 

The four time NCAA All-American and ACC Champion stormed through his opening round match ups, outscoring opponents 42-6 before running into early trouble against the Russian veteran in the final match.

Hidlay maintained his composure and kept attacking, picking up three points to close the gap to 10-5 at the break. Hidlay then ripped off three more scoring takedowns including a final four pointer to seal the victory and bring Team USA its second world championship in as many days!
