March MATness is here, with MORE WRESTLING opportunities than ever before! Think the season has ended? THINK AGAIN!!!
LOCAL EVENTS
All across North Carolina clubs and teams are beginning their "spring training" programs. Many of these programs will be adding the Olympic styles of wrestling (Freestyle & Greco-Roman) to their training offerings, and as the weather warms even more, beach wrestling events will offer sand, sun and FUN for all.
Team NC has partnered with schools and clubs across North Carolina to bring you a full spring season of local wrestling opportunities. This weekend alone there is a National Team Coaches training, two local tournaments (Rams Jam and SoCon Kids Opener) and numerous other clinics taking place.
COLLEGE WRESTLING
Also on tap beginning this weekend and continuing through March are collegiate championships. This weekend both the Southern Conference and the ACC will host their tournaments here in North Carolina. The SoCon tournament will take place Friday and Saturday in Asheville on the campus of UNC-A, while the ACC visits historic Cameron Indoor Stadium on the campus of Duke University this Sunday. Also up this weekend are the 2025 National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships in Coraville, Iowa. Division 2 and 3 Championships will take place next weekend, and then all eyes will turn to Philadelphia March 20-22 for the NCAA Division 1 Championships.
