Four Styles over Five Days Equals GREAT WRESTLING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL!

The 2021 USA Wrestling Beach Wrestling National Championship takes place Thursday, May 20th, in Jacksonville, FL.  In addition to National Champ distinction, athletes in the UWW Cadet, UWW Junior, and Senior categories may qualify to represent Team USA in International competition.

The Pan-American Beach Championship is scheduled for November 4 – 7, in Bridgetown, Barbados.  Each nation is allowed up to three entries per weight class.  Male and female Senior athletes may qualify for one of FOUR weight classes.  Athletes recognized in the international Cadet and Junior groups may qualify for weight classes, to be determined by the host nation.

In addition to the Pan-American Championship, athletes may qualify for World level events.  The 2021 Beach Wrestling World Series. will offer three preliminary events in France, Italy and Greece, with the Beach World Series Final in Romania, on the Black Sea Coast.

While no final decision has been announced, it has been customary for Beach World Series host to offer competition in the Cadet and Junior age groups.

With over 180 entries, to date, the Beach Nationals remains open through next Tuesday.  Competition takes place at One Ocean Resort and Spa, Jacksonville.

Beach Nationals kicks off a “Rock Concert” weekend of wrestling, in Jacksonville. Events include  Southeast Regional competition in Greco-Roman and Freestyle, as well as the Spartan Nationals Folkstyle and Dual events. Mat wrestling will take place Friday thru Sunday, at the Prime F. Osborn Convention Center in downtown Jacksonville.  USA Wrestling’s Masters (or Veterans’) National Championships  will also take place alongside the age group events.

Wrestlers competing in all styles have a chance to earn a never-before-given, "Spartan" award.

Beach Wrestlers, arguably, enjoy maximum benefits.  Provided an athlete maintains active participation, throughout each sequential event, a single Thursday weigh in covers the entire competitive experience.

Special thanks are due the USAW State Organizations, in North Carolina and Florida, along with Spartan Combat.  Enthusiastic cooperation, between these wrestling leaders, promises a memorable experience for athletes and families, at a time when we all need it.
