Region Honros A Visionary Leader in USA Wrestling

This year the 2021  Southeast Regional will honor one if its founders and longtime supporters by naming the region in his honor. Frank E. Rader is a name synonymous with USA Wrestling in North Carolina, but also across the Southeast region.

Frank not only worked to start NCUSA Wrestling as an organization, but was also a major event organizer across North Carolina and beyond. He helped start the southeast regional, hosting it many times in North Carolina, and he also playing an important role in the organization of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

His visionary leadership and longtime service earned him many awards and recognitions in USA Wrestling, and he was an early member of the North Carolina Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Frank was especially enthusiastic about kids grassroots development, so naming an event that features all age groups and multiple styles is a fitting tribute.

Special thanks to USA Wrestling and the other states of the Southeast Region for their roles in helping make this honor for Frank a reality.
