Richard Treanor earned his 4th All-American Award in Junior greco-roman wrestling, placing 8th in the 113 weight class. Meanwhile Christian Decatur also earned All-American status at the same weight class, finishing 6th to close out an impressive tournament that saw Decatur advance to the semi-finals before falling to eventual champion Billy Sullivan of Nevada.
Treanor has now a 4X Fargo All-American, ranking him among the most successful wrestlers in North Carolina history.
Overall North Carolina finished the week with 3 individual All-Americans and four Fargo AA titles in total. In addition to Treanor and Decatur on the men's side, Heaven Fitch was also a double all-American on the women's side, placing in both cadet and junior women's freestyle.
