Wrestlers across North Carolina were introduced to the Olympic styles of wrestling in a big way over the past two weekends, as coaches and wrestlers from the Tar Heel Wrestling Club spread out across the state to bring three FREE clinics to wrestlers of all ages.

Coach Joey Ward kicked off the clinics at last weekend's Crosstrain Challenge in Lenoir. Olympic gold medalist and coach Kenny Monday took his winning techniques to Croatan HS Saturday as part of the Coastal Clash. And Sunday Olympian Haley Augello and World Team member Becka Leathers hosted over thirty girls from across North Carolina for a special women's clinic.

North Carolina is blessed to have strong USA Olympic training centers here in our state. They are bringing world class coaches and athletes to the state to train, and these athletes are sharing their knowledge with youth wrestlers across North Carolina.

These training centers are great resources for coaches. clubs, and athletes across our state, and North Carolina USA is proud to partner with them and help support them as they train the stars of today AND tomorrow right here in North Carolina!
