Richard Treanor ripped off a :36 second tech fall in his first bout Saturday in Fargo to help set the tone for his All-American run in Fargo, ND over the weekend.
Treanor, a rising 9th grader, finished the tournament 3-3 to become North Carolina's first Cadet All-American since 2014.
Treanor also earned All-American status at Cadet Duals this year, with an 8-0 performance in Greco and a 7-0 showing in Freestyle. All total this summer he has amassed an 18-3 record against national competition.
Freestyle competition continued Monday with twenty wrestlers from NC in the mix.
