The 2017 Headlock On Hunger Open State Championships had a new home this year! The event held in Asheville the previous two seasons in conjunction with the SoCon Wrestling Championships moved to the Raleigh-Durham area and was held this year in conjunction with the ACC Championships!

Wrestlers of all ages from across North Carolina and beyond were invited to this FOLKSTYLE Championship event, to be hosted by Voyager Academy in Durham, NC.

The event was once again part of the NC Top 50 Series, and participants and coaches received FREE ADMISSION to the ACC Championship finals held at Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of NC State Saturday night.

A portion of proceeds from the event went to support the Headlock on Hunger Campaign!!
