Snow may still be flying across North Carolina, but a  busy spring wrestling season kicked off this past weekend with the Highland Challenge at Mitchell High in Ledger, NC.

Western Carolina Wrestling Club hosted the Highland Challenge #1 at Mitchell High School Saturday.

The Race City Grapplers Event in Mooresville was CANCELLED due to weather and set up conflicts.

This Saturday we invite all North Carolina wrestlers to join us in Asheville for what is going to become one of the great weekend wrestling events of the spring. NCUSA will host the 1st annual Headlock On Hunger Tournament, with a portion of the event proceeds going to Eblin Charities Headlock On Hunger initiative. Food donations will also be accepted. This event will take place in the UNC-A Justice Athletic Center, which is connected to the Kimmel Arena, site of the 2015 Southern Conference Tournament. Your entry and admission into the Headlock On Hunger event ALSO gets you in to the Southern Conference Tournament!! So not only can you participate in a great folkstyle tournament, you can watch some of the best college wrestlers from schools like Appalachian State, Gardner-Webb, and Davidson compete for the title of SoCon Champion!

There is much more to come this spring, so get or renew your USA Membership and JOIN US on the mats this spring for some great wrestling action!
