Hundreds of North Carolina wrestlers are hitting the mats this weekend, preparing for what promises to be a very exciting year!

Over 275 competitors from six different states sharpened their competition claws at the Honey Badger Classic at St. Stephens High School. Among the winners from today's event were 2014 Freestyle & Greco State Champion Carl Gues from South Caldwell HS (pictured with singlet)

The Cardiac Kids Wrestling Club took a large group to the Fall Brawl in Pennsylvania. National Team Members Mitch Dean and Angel Najar both had great days of competition. Both were 3-0  heading into the final match of the day.

Today and tomorrow more top NC Talent is competing in the Journeyman Classic in New York. John Bedard from Darkhorse WC finished second at middle school 105 today, and several top NC high school wrestlers including pre-season favorites Will Clark and Kollin Wade will be in the mix!

Sunday will also see open practices for NCUSA members at Appalachian State RTC, NC State.

Next Saturday many NC Teams will head to Chapel Hill for the Community Duals at Chapel Hill HS. If your team is interested in competing please contact Coach Jared Campbell ASAP.
